This 3 bedroom house is situated in the lovely rural village of Rish in the Shumen Area.
Just 3 minutes drive from the main road which takes you down to the Turkish border and a 30 minute drive to the main City of Shumen.

for their local transport and chickens,cows,pigs.horses and donkeys are a big part of their daily lives. There is also the local Shepherd which can be seen daily herding his goats and Sheep.
The Bulgarian people in the village are simple living, kind hearted and always friendly.
The property consists of 2 plots, totalling 2962 Sqm.(3/4 of an acre) each plot divided by a very small stream with ornate bridge.
Not all of the land is flat, but there is plenty of room for the swimming pool and more, infact there is plenty of flat land to build another house on the far side of the stream.
Growing in the garden you have plenty of cherry trees,plum,pear ,apple,tea,walnut and white mulberry.
The house has been renovated to a very high standard and is being sold unfurnished.(There is a very good second Hand furniture shop in a nearby village where you could furnish a whole house).

We live in the village ourselves so would always be on hand to help you settle in or help if you wanted to use it as a vacation home/rental property.
There are 5 full time English residents (families) in the village with a further 12 who own holiday homes , in various stages of renovation.
The house has Bulgarian neighbours on one side and the other side is English owned (which is in the process of being renovated)

is easily accessable. Flights can be found from the UK on Wizzair, Thomas Cook, Bulgaria Air and Easyjet.(some are seasonal)

Living in Bulgaria is very cheap compared to that in the UK. The yearly house taxes on this property is just under £20. Our monthly water bill (we live here remember) averages around £4.00 per month
Electricity is a little more expensive but is approx. half of that in the uk. A meal in a good restaurant, complete with drinks will cost you approx. £8 to £10 per head. A beer is around 42p.
In Shumen there is everything you would expect from a large city...large Supermarkets (including a Lidl),furniture shops,Hospital, Dentists ,opticians, shopping Mall etc.
The winters are short and sharp, with temperatures in the minus with guaranteed snow and the Summers are glorious, very long and hot, ideal for a swimming pool and outdoor living.
The buying process is very straight forward and can easily be achieved with visits to a Solicitor and Notary and could be completed within a week, or you could give a Solicitor power of attorney
to act on your behalf to complete the purchase at a later stage.
